The City of London has planted 10,000 street trees over the last 2 years.
The 10,000th was planted on Valentine's Day, 2012.
Currently only works in Google Chrome or Safari browsers.
The idea is to connect Londoners with the trees planted in their local neighbourhood, using geo-located street tree data, combined with air quality data. The prototype won top overall prize at the event.
It was built by Premasagar Rose (Dharmafly) at a Rewired State hack day for the Greater London Authority, where it won first prize.
The code is available on GitHub.
